BSN To Organise DNA DAY 2017

International DNA day is set to be celebrated with the theme “Celebrating genomic through awareness – Linking with society” by the young biotechnologists community of Nepal-the event being organized by the Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) with a stimulating set of events and programs hosted by the youth society in collaboration with various supporting organizations. This time BSN is celebrating the DNA DAY 2017 through the high-tech conceptual way on April 24th and 25th which is going to be held in the Premises of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal. The two-day program marks the growing tenacity and attraction towards molecular bioscience and genomics in today’s society.
For the first time in the history of Nepal, BSN plans to organize a Scientific March with a renowned scientific community. Other highlights of the program include the DNA model and Art competition, Essay, Scientific Interactions, Industrialist Participation, Product Exhibition, and Blood Donation programs will be conducted to enhance the creativity, curiosity, and scientific and social productivity of students. symposium under four categories viz. Medical and Pharmaceutical biosciences, Plant and Agriculture Biosciences, Environmental Biosciences, and Food and Industry Biosciences are planned so as to present the latest ideas and developments in this scientific arena.
National and International Scientists, Research fellows, Professors, Lecturers, and Leaders are expected to enlighten the program with guidance and aspirations to the young scientists and the students. Alongside, award distribution to the eminent scientists in categories like Research Scientist Award, Best Biotech student Award, Inspiration figure award, and winner of the other competitions conducted is programmed. Among the other attractions will be the stall exhibition of different organizations for general information and awareness.
