The Biotechnology Society of Nepal (BSN) invites scientists, researchers, academicians, students, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, policymakers, and biotechnology enthusiasts to BIO-INSPIRE 2026, the 4th International Conference on Biotechnology (ICBSN 2026).

The conference will take place on 17–18 December 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal, under the theme “Driving Sustainable Futures through Biotechnology and Innovation.” It will bring together the scientific community to exchange knowledge, build collaborations, showcase innovation, and explore biotechnology’s contribution to sustainable solutions.

BSN is honoured to welcome Sir Richard J. Roberts, 1993 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, as Patron of the conference, and Prof. Dr. M. N. Roy, Padma Shri awardee of the University of North Bengal, as a member of the Advisory Board.

Research tracks

The conference will cover eight interdisciplinary tracks:

1. Biotechnology and Core Research
2. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
3. Sustainability and Environment
4. Policy and Governance
5. Intelligence and Computational Biology
6. Agriculture and Food Biotechnology
7. Pharmaceuticals and Biochemical Sciences
8. Cross-cutting and Integrated Themes, including One Health, Global Health Security, Science Diplomacy, South–South Collaboration, and Youth in Science

Call for abstracts

Researchers, students, and professionals are invited to present original research through oral or poster presentations. Selected high-quality research may be considered for publication in the Nepal Journal of Biotechnology (NJB) or an equivalent peer-reviewed journal.
